I might suggest a Misc or similar section under General Discussion where we can ramble about things that don't fit into an existing category. Providing a place for some discussion of things other than employment or specific engines could help keep users coming back to the forum even when they are not looking for work.

Thanks for the feedback. I decided against that, as I thought it would be too difficult to moderate. I want to keep  things fairly professional, since people would be preparing business here.

I was thinking if you could add Google Login, GitHub Login, Discord Login, Reddit Login or other login services for better security, and im also bit worried about the https is not enabled on this website even while you are storing passwords.

When registering, the site should now redirect users to the HTTPS version

I still need to install a plugin to disable non HTTPS content in mycode (image embeds etc.)

Thanks for the feedback.

I've had some good feedback from Freelancers who have found clients from this site. Very happy to hear that!

Apart from providing a market for client and freelancer to meet, I'd also like for GJF to become a bit of a repository of knowledge for the best methods (for client and freelancer) when working together. I've added a 'Freelancing' subforum to the General Discussion category.

Once my own game is done, and I have learnt a whole bunch, I also plan to write an article for Gamasutra on freelancing tips. They havn't had a new one (that I can find) since 2012!

The next stage for the core of the site is to reach even more registered members (100 as the first milestone), and to get onto the frontpages of the r/gamedev, r/unity3d, r/unreal subreddits, plus get a forum thread on the Unity and Unreal official forums.

Hi folks, the forum has been up for a few months, and is doing fairly well with 130 registered members.

I'm a game developer, not a web developer, so I've been learning a lot and happy that nothing has broken.

I still want to squash the non-HTTPs versions of the site. I've redirect gamejobforum.com to the https version, I still need to do the same for www.gamejobforum.com

Otherwise - any other requests or feedback?

At some point I'd like to add a 'dark' theme, a custom logo, and tweak the myBB template in general. Right now its pretty stock.

There has also been zero spam, which I attribute to the relatively tough security question on registration.
